Terms of Service — ProposalAI

These Terms govern your use of ProposalAI (the "Service"). By creating an account you agree to them. This is a template — replace bracketed sections with content reviewed by your legal counsel before launch.

1. Account

You must verify your email address. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials confidential. You must be at least 16 years old.

2. Plans, billing, and renewals

Plans are billed monthly via Stripe. Fees are stated at checkout.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not pro-rate refunds.
Plan limits (proposal count per month, seats) are enforced server-side.
If a payment fails, we may downgrade your plan to the free tier.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service to generate misleading, deceptive, or unlawful content.
Send unsolicited bulk email through the Service.
Attempt to bypass plan limits, rate limits, or authentication.
Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the Service.
Upload content you do not have the right to use, including others' trademarks or proprietary information.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of proposals, themes, and other content you create. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to provide the Service.

5. AI-generated output

Proposals are generated using third-party language models. Output may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing every proposal before sending it to a client. We do not warrant that AI-generated content is accurate, fit for purpose, or non-infringing.

6. Service availability

The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not commit to a specific uptime percentage on standard plans. Scheduled maintenance and third-party outages (Supabase, Anthropic, Stripe, Vercel) may interrupt service.

7. Termination

You may close your account at any time from Settings → Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that present a security or billing risk.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Changes

We will email registered users at least 30 days before material changes to these Terms take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
